Tiny Toes Ultrasound Recommendations

We are committed to excellence, here are a few tips for best results!

1. Ensure adequate water intake several days leading up to your 3D/4D (HD) Ultrasound. While a full bladder isn’t always necessary upon arrival, hydration preparation should begin a few days in advance of your appointment.

2. Aim to have a snack within an hour before your ultrasound appointment, even if it’s a quick snack on your way to the studio. This can help elevate your blood sugar levels, potentially stimulating fetal activity. However, if you are a mom who has gestational diabetes, please adhere to your dietary restrictions advised by your doctor, as we do not encourage you to consume any of your diet restrictions (eg. sugary foods and drinks) in order to enhance baby’s activity during the ultrasound.

3. The timing of your ultrasound matters. While we can capture great 3D/4D ultrasound images throughout pregnancy, we recommend scheduling your 3D/4D (HD ultrasound between 24-32 weeks gestation. During this period, the baby is well developed resulting in optimal imaging quality.

4. Observe your baby’s activity patterns. Do they tend to be more active in the morning or evening? If possible, schedule your ultrasound appointment around the time of day when your baby is typically most active for the best chance of capturing lively images.
